CBD Oil? Gluten free Diet? Aloe Juice? … Which One Actually Works For Managing IBS?
There always seem to be so many ‘natural’ (non medication) options for managing IBS that are constantly floating around online on IBS support groups, blogs, websites, forums.
But … Which ones actually work?
Which ones will actually be successful in putting your symptoms into stable, consistent remission without the vicious cycle of flare ups or stubborn constipation returning?
These are the questions you need to ask yourself when navigating the confusing world of Tips, Tricks & Elimination Diets.
Some of the most common Products, Foods-To-Avoid, Tips and Strategies (that I’m sure you’ve already tried) are:
- A Gluten Free Diet
- A Dairy Free Diet
- Carob Powder dissolved in water
- Aloe Juice
- Probiotics (Any and all Probiotic brands and/or strains)
- CBD Oil
- A LowFODMAP Diet (which every recommends you need to stay on to manage your symptoms. But the scientific theory behind a LowFODMAP Diet says this diet is only meant to be followed for around 12 weeks. Any longer could result in major nutrient deficiencies. (Source)
- A ‘Bland Diet (any foods that are bland and settle well in the stomach – these foods vary from person to person but usually include bland foods such as white rice, bananas, white potatoes, etc)
I’m not sure how many of the above ‘managing strategies’ you’ve tried in trying to co-exist with your IBS symptoms. Maybe you’ve only done a few. Maybe you’ve done all.
And you’ve probably seen quite a few of them give you some relief from your symptoms for a period of time. This is what most IBS sufferers experience.
But going back full circle to the questions I listed at the beginning of this article, let me ask you this:

I know that’s a tough question.
