This sandwich is a staple around our house! It is the go to meal when we are in a pinch and don’t have much time to cook yet want something savory and satisfying. You can really make this sandwich as simple or elaborate as you want. It’s up to you.
We LOVE bacon as a treat once in a while. We don’t eat it every day but LOVE splurging adding to recipes. It adds so much flavor! However, you can definitely enjoy this sandwich with out bacon. It’s delicious either way.
The one ingredient that is non negotiable, however, is the chipotle mayo. I’m telling you, the smokey flavor of the chipotle peppers is DIVINE! I make my own mayo (you can check out my easy recipe HERE) and just throw two to three Chipotle peppers into the food processor with a squeeze of fresh lime at the end of the mayo making process to make chipotle mayo. It’s that easy!
