This recipe was MY FAVORITE treat last Christmas season! I posted this recipe to the blog last January but have since I tweaked to the recipe. So I thought I would repost it for the Christmas season as it’s SO DELICIOUS! And now is even HEALTHIER for you!
The tweak? I swapped out Coconut Sugar for Stevia as I have learned that coconut sugar isn’t much different than refined white sugar. It’s STILL SUGAR and still does all the same things white sugar does. Like raise your insulin levels, weaken your immune system, make you feel yucky. All that!
The point? Coconut sugar isn’t a healthier option to the standard table sugar.
So I thought I would repost it for you because I am ALL about chocolate. Yes, I guess you could go so far as to say that I’m a confessing chocoholic. But, I am a dark chocolate lover at heart. Milk chocolate is okay but, in my book, the darker the better.
For as long as I can remember, chocolate has always been my dessert or treat of choice. I can graciously pass on most desserts but, if it involves chocolate, forget it. I’m usually hooked.
Now, I say usually because, I am a bit particular these days of the quality and sourcing of my chocolate due to my obsession with eating clean. I try to only buy organic and Fair Trade.
That being said, buying organic chocolate bars and desserts can get pretty expensive, leaving me to only enjoy them occasionally. The solution?
Make your own delicious and super healthy chocolate treats that you can enjoy GUILT FREE!
It’s guilt free because it has no preservatives, white sugar, high fructose corn syrup, soy lecithin, guar gums etc. Simply stated, when you make something yourself you know exactly what’s in it.
With this simple recipe, you can sit back, relax and enjoy your holidays while waiting for this easy dark chocolate fudge recipe to set in your refrigerator. Better yet, share it with some friends that share your obsession with Chocolate!
