In light of the fact that we are less than one week away from Saint Patrick’s Day I thought I would share a healthy GREEN smoothie with you!
I am so excited to share this recipe with you! I first started making simple green smoothies when I went through my vegan phase a few years back. I made them almost every morning and used a variety of fruit, and greens.
Although I experimented with apples, pears, bananas, lettuce, collards, etc I always came back to the same simple ingredients: ginger, celery, green apple, spinach, lemon, and parsley. It always tasted so cleansing and refreshing. To this day, I never seem to tire of the amazing flavors of tangy and slightly sweet.
This recipe also has a special place in my heart. It tastes very similar to the green juice I always get when visiting our favorite juice shop, Juice Generation in Manhattan, NYC. However, being that it’s a smoothie, it’s a bit heartier than a juice. It contains all the beautiful vegetable fiber.
