Leaky gut is an interesting disease. The gut lining is only a cell wall in thickness. Actually it is, like the brain, extremely rich in Mitochondria.
Meaning, that the gut lining can also become permeable or leaky by weak Mitochondria. The gut lining needs what the Mitochondria produce, ATP-Energy, to stay intact.
